Savage Axis 2 30-06 Springfield 20" Left Hand Threaded Bolt Action Rifle

Savage Axis 2 Features The Savage Arms Axis 2 is redesigned to offer hunters better out-of-the-box performance than the original Axis lineup. A user-adjustable AccuTrigger lets the shooter dial in a 2.5 to 6 lb pull weight tuning the rifle s trigger feel to match the shooter s preference for precise shot placement. Thread-in headspacing on the 20 barrel improves accuracy potential from the factory and the 1:10 twist rate is matched to stabilize a wide range of .30-06 bullet weights. The updated bolt handle carries a sleek ergonomic design that enhances user control and comfort during operation which is especially useful in adverse conditions like rain or cold weather. The gray synthetic stock with pistol grip includes ambidextrous palm swells for a comfortable secure hold regardless of shooting position and a rubber recoil pad helps tame felt recoil from the .30-06 cartridge. A detachable box magazine holds 4 rounds and drops free for fast reloads in the field while the drilled and tapped matte black receiver stands ready to accept a scope base and rings. The barrel is threaded at 5/8x24 for a muzzle brake or suppressor adding versatility for hunters managing recoil or noise. At 6.7 lbs and 40.5 overall this left-hand Axis 2 is a well-rounded choice for deer elk and hog hunters heading into the field.
