Description
The Savage Axis 2 Pro Forest SP Camo is a bolt-action rifle chambered in 6.5 Creedmoor, built as an optics-first hunting platform with no iron sights included. It is intended for deer and big game hunting at extended range.
The rifle has a 20-inch spiral-fluted carbon steel barrel with a 1:7.5-inch twist rate and a 5/8x24 threaded muzzle, finished in Gun Metal Bronze Cerakote for corrosion resistance. The one-piece Picatinny rail receiver provides a mounting surface for optics. The user-adjustable AccuTrigger, thread-in headspacing, and a two-position safety complete the action. The textured Forest SP Camo synthetic stock has a fixed pistol grip. It weighs 6.8 pounds and measures 40.5 inches overall.
The rifle is fed by a 4-round detachable box magazine and is supplied right-handed.
