Savage Axis 2 XP Compact Gray .400 Legend 20 Barrel 4-Rounds w/ Weaver 3-9x40mm

Savage Axis 2 XP Compact Features The Savage Arms Axis 2 XP Compact is built around a 20 inch matte black heavy sporter barrel with a 1:16 twist rate cut from carbon steel and drilled and tapped for additional scope mounting options. Thread in headspacing improves chambering consistency from the factory while the user adjustable AccuTrigger lets the shooter dial pull weight between 2.5 and 6 pounds to match their preference. A 4 round detachable box magazine keeps the rifle fast to reload in the field and the fixed matte gray synthetic stock resists weather and rough handling far better than a traditional wood stock. The updated ergonomic bolt handle design improves grip and control even when operating the action with cold or wet hands. The redesigned stock carries enhanced texturing at the grip and forend along with ambidextrous palm swells giving both right and left handed shooters a comfortable secure hold. A Weaver 3-9x40mm scope arrives factory mounted and boresighted with fully multi coated lenses and tool-less windage and elevation adjustments that make final sighting in quick and simple. At an overall length of 39.5 inches and a weight of 7.4 pounds the rifle balances well for carrying through brush and timber on a hunt. Compact in size but chambered in the capable .400 Legend cartridge the Axis 2 XP Compact is built for hunters needing a lightweight accurate rifle for whitetail and similar sized game.
