Description

The Savage Axis 2 Compact XP is a left-handed bolt-action rifle chambered in .400 Legend, a straight-wall cartridge suited to hunting in areas that restrict hunters to straight-wall calibers. It is designed for smaller-framed or younger shooters who find a full-size stock too long to shoulder comfortably.

The rifle has a 20-inch sporter barrel with a 1:16 twist rate, an overall length of 39.5 inches, and a weight of 7.4 pounds. It features a user-adjustable AccuTrigger, thread-in headspacing, a redesigned bolt handle, and a 2-position top tang safety. The matte black receiver is drilled and tapped, and the Flat Dark Earth fixed synthetic stock is moisture resistant. The magazine holds 4+1 rounds.

This bundle includes a factory-mounted and boresighted Weaver 3-9x40mm scope with multi-coated lenses and tool-less windage and elevation adjustments.
