Description
The Savage Arms AXIS II Compact is a bolt action rifle chambered in 243 Winchester, built for hunters who want a lightweight, handy carry with a shorter barrel. It has a right-hand action with a matte gray finish and a polymer stock with a redesigned ergonomic shape and enhanced texturing for grip.
The rifle has a 20-inch barrel and holds 4 rounds. The retailer describes a user-adjustable AccuTrigger and thread-in headspacing as accuracy features, along with an updated, ergonomic bolt handle intended to improve control in rain or cold weather.
This is a compact model in the AXIS II line, which is also offered in OD Green and FDE, in full-size and left-hand versions, and in other popular hunting calibers.
