Savage Axis XP Compact 243 Win 20" Threaded Bolt Action Rifle with 3-9x40 Scope

Savage Axis XP Compact Features The Savage Arms Axis XP Compact pairs a precision button-rifled 20 inch barrel with a 1:9.25 twist rate matched to common 243 Win bullet weights for consistent accuracy. The barrel is threaded 5/8x24 beneath its matte black finish letting owners add a muzzle brake or suppressor without gunsmith work. Thread-in headspacing keeps chamber dimensions consistent from the factory contributing to the accuracy Savage markets across the Axis line. The carbon steel receiver is drilled and tapped for scope bases and this example ships with a 3-9x40mm Duplex scope already mounted and boresighted. Built on a compact frame this rifle s black synthetic stock shortens the length of pull to 12.75 inches and the overall length to 39.5 inches making it easier to shoulder and handle for smaller-statured or younger shooters. An enhanced bolt handle with a sleek ergonomic design improves control and comfort when cycling the action especially in cold or wet conditions. A detachable box magazine holds 4 rounds for a 4+1 total capacity giving hunters a quick reload option in the field. At 7.50 pounds the Savage Axis XP Compact gives smaller-framed hunters a complete ready-to-hunt rifle scaled to their build.
