Description
The Savage AXIS 2 XP Compact Combo is a right-handed bolt-action rifle chambered in 400 Legend, sold as a bundle with a factory-mounted 3-9x40 scope. It is designed for hunting, with a 20-inch barrel and an overall length of 39.5 inches for a compact carry and handling profile.
The rifle has a matte green finish, a carbon steel construction, and a weight of 7.5 pounds. Its magazine holds 4 rounds. The scope offers 3-9x magnification with a 40mm objective lens, multi-coated lenses, and tool-less windage and elevation adjustments. The rifle is supplied without iron sights, so the scope is the sighting system.
The redesigned stock features enhanced texturing and an updated pistol grip with ambidextrous palm swells. The bolt handle has an ergonomic design to improve control in rain or cold weather. The trigger is user-adjustable, and the barrel uses thread-in headspacing.
