Military Armament Corporation MAC IX, 9mm, 6.5 Barrel, 30rd, J-Brace, Black, Pistol

Military Armament Corporation MAC IX, 9mm, 6.5" Barrel, 30rd, J-Brace, Black, PistolThe Military Armament Corporation MAC IX (model 12755002) is a modular 9mm pistol-caliber platform built around a direct blowback, closed-bolt action. This configuration pairs a 6.5 threaded barrel with a retractable tailhook-style J-Brace, a monolithic upper with a full-length Picatinny top rail and an M-LOK handguard. It feeds from MAC-5/MP5-style magazines and ships with two 30-round magazines, so it is ready for the range, competition or home defense right out of the case.Simple, Proven Direct BlowbackThe MAC IX runs on a straight blowback, closed-bolt system. With no gas piston or rollers to tune, there is less to clean and less to go wrong, and the design keeps recoil soft and follow-up shots quick in 9mm. An overhead recoil spring system is part of what lets the MAC IX run with no brace, a folding brace or a telescoping brace. Military Armament Corporation designed it to cycle with NATO-spec 9x19mm ball ammunition; some hollow points and other wide flat-nose loads may not feed as consistently, so test your carry or duty load before you rely on it.Monolithic Upper, Picatinny and M-LOKThe upper is a single-piece monolithic design with a full-length Picatinny rail across the top, giving you a long, uninterrupted run for a red dot, magnifier or other optic. The handguard carries M-LOK slots on its sides for a light, hand stop, vertical grip or other accessories, so you can set the MAC IX up for the job without adding bulky rail sections. The receiver is machined from 7075-T6 aluminum alloy to keep weight in check.J-Brace ConfigurationThis version, model 12755002, comes with a retractable tailhook-style J-Brace installed on the Picatinny rail interface at the rear of the receiver. The brace collapses for a compact package in the case or the truck and extends when you want added support while shooting. Because the rear interface is standard 1913 Picatinny, the MAC IX can also accept other compatible braces later. All NFA rules apply to any stock or brace configuration.Threaded, Tri-Lug MuzzleThe 6.5 barrel is made of 4140 (42CrMo4) steel with a 1:10 right-hand twist and six grooves. Its muzzle is threaded 1/2x28 and machined with a 3-lug (tri-lug) mount, so you can run the included flash hider, a common 1/2x28 muzzle device or a compatible quick-attach accessory. A thread protector covers the threads when nothing is mounted.Controls and SightsThe MAC IX uses a 2-position, ambidextrous thumb safety with clear markings for safe and fire, and a paddle/button magazine release that will feel familiar to anyone who has run an MP5-pattern gun. The charging handle works the bolt, and a bolt catch lets you lock it open for inspection or clearing. The factory sights have protective ears: the front sight adjusts for elevation, and the rear peep aperture adjusts for windage. With the Picatinny top rail, you can co-witness or replace them with the optic of your choice. What Is in the BoxMAC IX 9mm pistol with J-Brace installedTwo 30-round MP5-style magazinesSlingFlash hiderHard carry caseSpecificationsManufacturerMilitary Armament CorporationModelMAC IXPart Number12755002UPC810162051976Caliber9mm Luger (9x19mm)ActionSemi-auto, direct blowback, closed boltBarrel Length6.5 in.Barrel Material4140 (42CrMo4) steelTwist Rate1:10, 6-groove right handMuzzle1/2x28 threaded, tri-lug mountCapacity30+1Magazines Included2 x 30 rounds, MAC-5/MP5 styleOverall Length17.9 in.Weight5.5 lbReceiver7075-T6 aluminum alloy, monolithic upperRailsFull-length Picatinny top rail, M-LOK handguardBraceRetractable tailhook-style J-BraceSafety2-position ambidextrous thumb safetySightsFront adjustable for elevation, rear peep adjustable for windageColorBlackWarrantyThe MAC IX is covered by a 1-year limited warranty against defects in materials and workmanship, followed by a Lifetime Service Plan covering material defects for the life of the firearm (wear items excluded).Frequently Asked QuestionsWhat magazines does the MAC IX use?It accepts MAC-5/MP5-style 9mm magazines.
