Description
The Shooters Choice Cotton Bore Mop is a gun cleaning accessory for .22 caliber barrels. Its densely packed, highly absorbent 100 percent cotton head is designed to carry and spread gun solvent or lubricant evenly through the bore, which helps break down fouling and residue more effectively than a dry patch alone.
The mop measures 3 inches long, sized for .22 rimfire, .22-250, .223 and 5.56mm NATO bores. Its standard 8-32 threaded stem mounts directly onto most common cleaning rods. The aluminum stem behind the cotton head is intended not to damage the bore during use.
The mop is sold as a replaceable component, so the cleaning rod can stay in service while a fresh mop is swapped in when the old one becomes saturated or worn.
