Sierra Tipped MatchKing 6.5mm / .264 153 Grain 100-Count TMK

Sierra Tipped MatchKing Features The Sierra Tipped MatchKing bullet is an evolution of Sierra s long-running MatchKing profile adding an acetal resin tip to a boat tail jacketed lead design. That tip reduces aerodynamic drag as the bullet travels downrange which flattens trajectory and reduces wind drift compared to a traditional open tip match bullet of similar weight. At 153 grains and .264 inch diameter this projectile is well suited to 6.5 Creedmoor and other 6.5mm cartridges commonly used in precision rifle competition. The tipped design also improves feeding reliability from a magazine a benefit for shooters running semi-automatic or detachable-magazine precision rifles. Each box contains 100 bullets a quantity suited to reloaders developing loads or shooting occasional matches without committing to a large bulk purchase. Sierra manufactures these bullets from jacketed lead a construction method the company has refined over decades of match bullet production for serious competitors. Because they are designed purely for accuracy at distance rather than terminal expansion Sierra does not recommend the Tipped MatchKing for most hunting applications. These component bullets require handloading equipment and dies matched to the 6.5mm caliber and are intended strictly for target and match use rather than as a finished cartridge.
