SMITH &WESSON ~ 22-4 ~ .45 ACP

This S&W is part of the mid-2000s Classic collections and is a reissue of the Model of 1950. It has a slim barrel, slim rounded walnut grips, lanyard loop, and the ability to accept .45 ACP or .45 auto-rimless. Moon clips are required for extraction by the "hand." The series dates back to WWI when S&W converted their revolver line to producing pistols in .45 ACP to help the war effort. This "stop-gap" procedure proved so popular, and accurate, Smith & Wesson kept right on producing them after WWI, and eventually named them in the early 50s. This one has been fired a bit, but not excessively, and could pass for new gun.
