Description
This Smith & Wesson Model 19-4 CHP Commemorative is a .357 Magnum revolver featuring a 6" barrel and handsome wood target stocks. The revolver remains in very good condition, retaining an attractive blue finish with light handling marks and crisp commemorative markings. Included is the original CHP commemorative presentation case. Serial number 42K0862 indicates production in the late 1970s, consistent with this 1979 commemorative release. Issued to commemorate the California Highway Patrol's 50th Anniversary (1929-1979), this special edition Model 19 features CHP badge engraving and commemorative barrel markings. Built on Smith & Wesson's renowned Combat Magnum platform, the Model 19 was a favorite among law enforcement officers, making this revolver both a meaningful piece of CHP history and a highly desirable collector's firearm.
