Description
The Smith & Wesson Model 1950 Target is a desirable N-Frame revolver chambered in .45 ACP with a 6.5" barrel. Serial number 100010 is believed to be an early production example from approximately 1950. It retains an attractive blue finish with light handling marks from careful use, along with its period wood target stocks and an additional custom grip set. Combining excellent shootability with collector appeal, the Model 1950 Target remains one of Smith & Wesson's classic post-war revolvers. This revolver comes from the personal collection of renowned sixgun writer John Taffin and includes a signed Certificate of Authenticity from the John Taffin Collection. Taffin's influence on revolver enthusiasts spans decades through his books and articles on big-bore handguns, and this revolver may have been featured in one of his publications. It represents a rare opportunity to own both a sought-after Smith & Wesson and a documented piece of firearms history.
