The Third Model 1909, aka "The Perfected Target Pistol" was a continuation of the Model 18911 Target Pistol. This one was built around 19131915, and features most of the blue (est 70-80%), and sharp checkering. There is an area of rust on the barrel, both sides. The rear sight is adjustable for windage. Single shot target competitions both formal and informal, were quite popular at the time. Targets often included insulators on telephone and electrical poles.
