The Smith & Wesson Performance Center Model 460XVR Double-Action Revolver offers tremendous power for a firearm that's easily carried in a holster. The .460 S&W magnum cartridge is adequate for hunting the largest species of big game on earth, or for defending yourself from large and dangerous game. Revolvers chambered in 460 magnum will also operate with .45 Colt cartridges or .454 Casull cartridges if less recoil or power is desired, adding to the revolvers versatility. The Model 460XVR comes from the Performance Center with a PC hand-fitted, tuned action, an unfluted cylinder, and chrome hammer and trigger. An adjustable rear sight and a HI-VIZ fiber-optic green front sight dial in for precise shot placement under varying light conditions. Stainless steel construction provides corrosion resistance and low maintenance for prolonged holster carry while camping or hiking in the backcountry. The synthetic rubber grip absorbs recoil and provides a sure hold in any weather.
