Smith & Wesson Military & Police Pre-Model 10 38 Special Revolver

This Smith & Wesson .38 Special revolver appears to be a pre-Model 10 Military & Police revolver built on the K-frame, one of the most iconic service revolvers ever produced. Based on the serial number C68458, production likely falls in the late 1940s, approximately 1948, though a factory letter from Smith & Wesson would be required for exact verification. Condition appears to be very good for its age, showing honest handling wear with light finish thinning on the sharp edges and high points while maintaining an attractive overall appearance. The bore, mechanical function, and timing work well from a preliminary check, but cosmetically the revolver presents well and remains a desirable example of a pre-model-number Smith & Wesson.
