Description
Speer Gold Dot G2 is a 40 S&W self-defense cartridge loaded with a 180 grain Gold Dot hollow point bullet. It is intended for defensive use in full-size handguns chambered for 40 S&W.
The G2 bullet uses a shallow dish nose cavity filled with a high-performance elastomer rather than a deep hollow-point cavity. The elastomer is forced into internal fissures on impact to begin expansion, which the manufacturer describes as producing uniform expansion and consistent penetration through barrier types. The bullet has a structural-plated, pressure-formed core and is listed at a muzzle velocity of 1015 fps.
Each box contains 20 rounds, and each case contains 10 boxes, for 200 rounds per case.
