Description
Spike's Tactical Spartan, Multi-Caliber, Color Filled, Black Hardcoat Anodized, AR-15 Stripped Lower ReceiverThe Spike's Tactical Spartan stripped lower receiver is a forged AR-15 lower built for the shooter who wants a dependable foundation with real character. The left side of the magwell carries Spike's Spartan helmet logo, and the selector is engraved with Shield, Sword and Blood Sword markings in place of the usual Safe and Fire. On this color filled version the logo and selector markings are filled with paint by hand at the Spike's Tactical shop, so the artwork stands out sharply against the black anodized finish. The receiver is forged from 7075-T6 aluminum and finished with MIL-A-8625F Type III Class 2 hard coat anodizing for a tough, wear-resistant black surface. It is marked Multi for caliber, so you can build it out as a 5.56 NATO or .223 Rem rifle, a .300 Blackout, or another caliber that runs on a standard AR-15 lower. The low shelf design is RDIAS compatible.Spike's Tactical makes its stripped lowers to a high standard. Whether you are starting a new build, replacing a receiver, or putting a lower away for a future project, this stripped lower gives you a solid, recognizable starting point.Key FeaturesSpartan helmet logo engraved on the left side of the magwell.Shield, Sword and Blood Sword selector markings in place of standard Safe/Fire markings.Color filled logo and selector, painted by hand for high contrast.7075-T6 forged aluminum receiver for strength and long service life.Multi caliber marking for 5.56 NATO/.223 Rem, .300 Blackout and other AR-15 calibers.MIL-A-8625F Type III Class 2 hard coat anodized black finish.Low shelf, RDIAS compatible.8.6 oz. stripped weight.SpecificationsManufacturerSpike's TacticalModelSpartanPart NumberSTLS021-CFATypeAR-15 stripped lower receiverLogoSpartan helmet logoSelector markingsShield, Sword and Blood SwordColor fillColor filled logo and selector markings (hand painted)Construction7075-T6 forged aluminumCaliber markingMultiFinishMIL-A-8625F Type III Class 2 hard coat anodized, blackShelfLow shelf, RDIAS compatibleWeight8.6 oz.IncludesStripped receiver only (no lower parts kit, buffer tube or stock)ShippingFFL required (serialized receiver)Building Out Your LowerThis is a stripped receiver, so it ships without a lower parts kit, buffer tube assembly, grip or stock. That lets you choose every part: the trigger, safety, magazine release, bolt catch, grip and stock that fit how you shoot. The Spartan lower works with standard mil-spec AR-15 lower parts kits, buffer systems and upper receivers. If you are new to building, a complete lower parts kit and a matching buffer tube assembly are the easiest way to finish it.About the Color FillThe color fill is applied by hand, one receiver at a time, so small variations between receivers are normal. The fill is in the engraved logo and selector markings only; the rest of the receiver keeps its black hard coat anodized finish. Why Choose a Spike's Tactical LowerSpike's Tactical is based in Apopka, Florida, and is known for AR-15 lowers with bold, themed engravings and selector markings. Its forged lowers give builders a quality receiver that also looks different from a generic lower. Spike's lowers are American made and backed by the company's lifetime warranty.FAQsDoes the Spartan lower come with a parts kit?No. This is a stripped lower receiver. You will need a lower parts kit, a buffer tube assembly (buffer, spring, castle nut and end plate), a grip and a stock to complete it.What is color filled? The engraved logo and selector markings are filled with paint by hand, so they stand out against the black finish. A non-color-filled version of this lower is also made. What calibers can I build on it?The receiver is marked Multi, so it can be built as a 5.56 NATO/.223 Rem rifle, a .300 Blackout, or another caliber that uses a standard AR-15 lower and magazine well. Use the upper receiver and magazine made for the caliber you choose. Is it compatible with standard AR-15 parts?Yes. It accepts standard mil-spec AR-15 lower parts kits, buffer tube assemblies and upper receivers. What material and finish is it?The receiver is forged 7075-T6 aluminum with a MIL-A-8625F Type III Class 2 hard coat anodized black finish. What does RDIAS compatible mean? The lower has a low shelf above the trigger pocket, which leaves room for a registered drop-in auto sear (RDIAS). It makes no difference for a standard semi-automatic build.Do I need an FFL to buy it?Yes. The stripped lower is the serialized part of the rifle and is legally a firearm, so it ships to your local FFL dealer for transfer.
