Springfield Armory ~ M1 Garand ~ .30-06 Springfield ~ 1952 Barrel Date

Post-war Springfield Armory M1 Garand chambered in .30-06 Springfield with an import mark. This M1 garand features a 24" barrel marked "EXCEL / GARDNER, MA." behind the front sight on the left side. The front sight is a blade with protective sides, adjustable DRC aperture rear sight. The Op Rod is marked on the top"NM" and "7790722-RA" on the bottom. The bolt is marked "6528287 SA Z-2". The trigger group housing is marked "D28290-12- SA", a stamped trigger guard with no markings, "SA-11" safety, "C46008-3 SA" hammer. The gas cylinder is a wide base with an "P" gas cylinder lock screw and beveled lock. The barrel is stamped "SA-10 52". The receiver is stamped "US RIFLE - CAL .30M1 - SPRINGFIELD ARMORY - 4201900". The smooth hardwood stock has a pistol grip, metal nose caps, a stacking loop, two sling loops, and a metal buttplate with hinged door for storage. The stock shows no cartouches. Overall this rifle remains in good surplus condition
