Springfield Armory M1A Scout Squad 308 Winchester 18" Semi-Auto Rifle

The Springfield Armory M1A Scout Squad is a semi-automatic rifle built on the M1A platform, shortened to an 18-inch barrel for easier handling in trucks, dense brush and on long walks. It is chambered in 308 Winchester (7.62x51mm NATO) and fed from a 10-round magazine, making it suited to hunting and ranch use.

The rifle uses a carbon steel receiver and barrel with a blued finish, a right-hand operating configuration, and a two-stage military trigger. Its sights are a National Match front post with a military adjustable rear aperture, adjustable for windage and elevation. A forward-position scope mount supports optics with extended eye relief. The threaded barrel accepts muzzle devices. Overall length is 40.33 inches and weight is 9.3 pounds.
