The Manix 2 Lightweight has a full-flat-ground PlainEdge blade, crafted from CTS BD1 stainless steel, and coated with Diamond Like Carbon (DLC) coating, which is harder than the blade steel itself and anti-reflective. The jimped thumb ramp and finger choil enhance blade control, and minimize the risk of the user's hand from sliding forward onto the blade when trusting or lunging with the knife. The Ball Bearing Lock mechanism keeps the blade from folding in the hand when engaging in extreme cutting tasks. Spyderco's trademark Round Hole allows quick, 1-hand deployment. The Spyderco Manix 2 Lightweight Folding Knife features an injection molded fiberglass-reinforced co-polymer (FRCP) handle, with a deeply molded Bi-Directional Texturing pattern for maximum grip retention.
