The Spyderco Sage 5 Lightweight Salt is a folding knife in the Sage Series, built for use around water and in corrosive environments. Its 3-inch full-flat-ground, PlainEdge blade is made from CPM MagnaCut, a particle metallurgy steel offering edge retention, toughness, and corrosion resistance. The blade has a satin finish.

The knife opens with a Compression Lock and sits in a lightweight, open-backed handle with fiberglass-reinforced-nylon scales. The yellow scales have a BiDirectional Texture for grip and carry a reversible, deep-pocket wire clip. The clip, liners, and handle hardware are marine-grade materials.
