Strategic Sciences 5.56 NATO 1/2x28 MFMD OTB Suppressor, Base Muzzle Device Only, 0.7" OTB Clearance, Black MFMD-5.56-0.7-MD-1/2X28-BK

The Strategic Sciences MFMD 5.56 0.7" OTB (Muzzle Device Only) is an innovative hybrid tactical muzzle system designed to eliminate traditional compromises between sound suppression, recoil mitigation, and flash reduction. Monolithically 3D-printed from ultra-durable, heat-resistant Inconel 718, this multi-function muzzle device (MFMD) utilizes an advanced flow-through internal geometry featuring over 30 feet of complex gas channels. This configuration shifts suppressor mass backward by overlapping the barrel with a 0.7-inch Over-The-Barrel (OTB) clearance, optimizing the weapon's center of gravity and preserving full barrel length performance without adding excessive forward length. Even as a standalone base muzzle device without additional expansion sleeves, it dampens felt recoil by up to 60–64%, eliminates up to 98% of muzzle flash, and safely drops sound signatures to a hearing-safe 138.5 dB on standard platforms. Built to thread directly onto 1/2x28 TPI barrels using the included custom shims and installation tools, this base unit is fully modular and stands ready to accept drop-on SD or SDX expansion sleeves down the road.
