Description
The Streamlight TLR-8 HL-X Sub is a rail-mounted weapon light with an integrated red laser, built for mounting on the short Picatinny (1913) rails found on compact firearms. It is designed to produce a longer-reaching beam for low-light identification and aiming.
The housing is black anodized machined aluminum. The light accepts either the included SL-B9 protected Li-Ion USB-C rechargeable battery pack or a single CR123A lithium battery. With the SL-B9, it outputs 1,000 lumens and 10,000 candela over a 200 m beam for about 30 minutes, or can be programmed to 500 lumens for about one hour. With a CR123A, it outputs 500 lumens and 5,000 candela over a 141 m beam for about 1.5 hours. Laser mode runs about 29 hours. Interchangeable ambidextrous rear paddle switches offer HIGH and LOW options, a safe-off feature prevents accidental activation, and a user-enabled strobe is included.
