Description
The Strike Industries Enhanced Castle Nut with QD Extended End Plate is a black steel replacement end assembly for an AR-15 receiver extension, commonly called a buffer tube. It pairs a lengthened castle nut with an extended end plate that carries a Quick Detach sling mount.
The castle nut is longer than a standard one so it engages more of the receiver extension's threaded area. The extended end plate positions the QD sling swivel mount farther back from the web of the primary hand. The assembly is ambidextrous, allowing the sling mount to be used for right- or left-hand sling configurations. Recommended torque is 40 inch-pounds.
The part is designed for AR-15 receiver extensions and is intended to be installed with the takedown pin and detent set screw as described in the product instructions.
