Description
The SureFire SOCOM Shim Kit is a set of muzzle device shims used to set the correct alignment of a muzzle device on a threaded barrel. It is intended for installing muzzle devices so they are positioned accurately on the firearm.
The kit has an outside diameter of 0.700 inch and an inside diameter of 0.510 inch, with a 1/2-28 thread pitch. It is made of stainless steel with a silver finish. The raw listing describes eight shims of varying thickness and a tube of Rocksett thread adhesive.
The shims are designed as a direct replacement for SureFire SF3P, SFMB, and Warcomp flash hiders. Other muzzle devices that accept shims of these sizes can also use the kit.
