Tapco 9mm Buffer For AR Platform 5.4 oz Steel Anodized

Tapco 9mm Buffer Features The Tapco Buffer is purpose built for 9mm AR-15 platforms where the blowback operating system relies on buffer weight to control bolt velocity. Weighing 5.4 ounces and machined from steel it adds the mass needed to slow the bolt carrier down at the right point in its cycle which reduces bolt bounce and smooths out felt recoil compared to a standard 5.56 buffer. That extra weight also helps the action fully cycle and lock back reliably which matters most in a blowback 9mm gun that lacks the gas system timing of a direct impingement rifle. The anodized finish resists wear inside the buffer tube over thousands of cycles keeping the buffer running smoothly over the life of the gun. Built to Mil-Spec dimensions this buffer is compatible with a wide range of 9mm AR-15 buffer tubes and gas systems making it a straightforward drop-in upgrade for shooters building or tuning a 9mm carbine or pistol. Because it is purpose matched to the caliber rather than a general-purpose carbine buffer it addresses the specific reliability issues that come up when 9mm AR builds are run with mismatched components. Installation requires no special tools beyond what is already needed to service a standard AR-15 buffer tube. For anyone chasing smoother function and less felt recoil out of a 9mm AR platform this buffer is a simple and effective place to start.
