Tapco 1911 Barrel Bushing Wrench Silver

Tapco 1911 Bushing Wrench Features The Tapco Bushing Wrench is purpose built for the 1911 platform giving shooters a safer and more controlled way to disassemble the pistol for cleaning and maintenance. Its ergonomic shape is designed to provide full coverage of the recoil plug while the barrel bushing is being unlocked which prevents the spring loaded plug from launching unexpectedly during takedown. This is a common frustration and even a minor safety concern for 1911 owners using improvised tools or no tool at all. By keeping the plug under control throughout the process the wrench makes routine disassembly faster and less stressful. To use the tool the shooter engages the barrel bushing at the 3 o clock position and rotates the wrench clockwise to the 6 o clock position which unlocks the bushing while the tool continues to hold the recoil plug in place. This straightforward motion makes the Bushing Wrench easy to use even for shooters less experienced with 1911 maintenance. Finished in silver the tool measures 12 inches long and 7 inches wide giving the user solid leverage during the unlocking motion.
