Description
The Taurus 850 is a compact five-shot double action revolver chambered in .38 Special, designed for concealed carry and close-range defensive use. Its shrouded hammer is intended to reduce snagging during the draw.
The revolver has a 2-inch barrel, an overall length of 7.66 inches, and a weight of 1.5 pounds. It features a stainless steel frame with a matte black finish, a removable serrated blade front sight, and a fixed rear sight. The double action trigger allows firing without manually cocking the hammer.
The 5-shot cylinder accepts .38 Special ammunition and is noted as compatible with many existing speed loaders and holsters made for small-frame revolvers.
