The Taurus 856 Ultra-Lite is a small-frame double and single action revolver chambered in .38 Special +P. Its 2-inch barrel and compact footprint suit concealed carry and home defense, and the double and single action trigger system gives the shooter control over trigger pull and shot placement.

The revolver has a 6-round cylinder, a 2-inch barrel, and an overall length of 6.55 inches. It weighs about 1 pound and has a steel construction with a matte black finish. Its fixed sights provide a low-profile, snag-free sighting system, and rubber grips help manage recoil.
