Description
(SKU: 5680331) This Thompson/Center Contender Super 14 chambered in .30-30 Winchester remains in very good condition, showing light handling marks consistent with normal use while retaining an attractive appearance. This single-shot hunting handgun features the desirable engraved Contender frame, wood forend, and finger-groove grip. Included with the firearm is a Burris 5X scope, along with a Certificate of Authenticity letter documenting ownership from noted firearms writer John Taffin, adding collectible provenance to an already desirable package. Introduced in the late 1960s, the Thompson/Center Contender became one of the most successful interchangeable-barrel single-shot handgun platforms ever produced, earning a strong following among handgun hunters and shooting enthusiasts. The Super 14 variant, with its 14-inch barrel and excellent accuracy potential, helped cement the Contender's reputation in the field. Serial number 184705 appears to date from the late 1970s to early 1980s production period, though a factory records letter would be required for an exact manufacture date.
