Thompson Center Encore ProHunter Katahdin 460 S&W Magnum 20" Barrel

Thompson Center Encore Prohunter Katahdin Barrel Features The Thompson Center Encore Prohunter Katahdin Barrel is machined from stainless steel for corrosion resistance in wet hunting conditions then fluted along its 20 length to shed weight without sacrificing barrel rigidity. Chambered in .460 SW the barrel is threaded 11/16x24 so shooters can add a brake or suppressor to tame recoil from this powerful cartridge. Because the barrel is drilled and tapped for scope mounts hunters can add glass directly without additional gunsmithing. Every barrel ships having been test fired at 100 yards at the factory so accuracy is verified before it ever reaches the customer. This barrel is built exclusively for Encore series rifle frames and will not fit Contender or G2 Contender actions so Encore owners can count on a correct fit when swapping calibers. Switching barrels on the Encore platform lets one frame serve multiple hunting roles without buying a second complete rifle. The stainless finish pairs function with a weather resistant look suited to the field. For Encore owners wanting a dedicated big bore option for dangerous game or large deer and hogs this fluted threaded barrel is a direct no gunsmithing upgrade available for sale at ARMSAGORA.
