The Tikka T3x Roughtech Superlite has all the familiar features of the T3x rifle platform with some added upgrades. The stock is composed of Roughtech material, which features an asymmetrical textured surface to provide superior control over the rifle even in poor weather conditions. The stock is also highly modular, incorporating an interchangeable pistol grip allowing the angle to be modified for accommodating multiple shooting positions. The stock's fore-grip is outfitted with additional attachment points, allowing the width to be increased. The barrel utilizes a thin profile and is fluted, making the rifle both lightweight and well balanced. In addition, the ejection port makes feeding individual cartridges easy, and an oversized bolt handle allows for reliable operation even when wearing gloves.
