The Timney 667S Competition Trigger is a self-contained single-stage trigger module for AR-15 rifles with small-pin hammer and trigger pins. It is designed to replace the factory fire control group and deliver a smooth, crisp, creep-free pull that the manufacturer describes as closer to a bolt-action trigger than a typical combat rifle trigger.

The components are captive in a lightweight aluminum alloy housing. The hammer is wire-EDM machined from S7 tool steel, and the other parts are EDM cut from A2 tool steel and heat treated to Rc 56-60. The module installs using the rifle's original hammer and trigger pins and requires no gunsmithing, fitting, or adjustment. The pull weight is 3 lb in this configuration, with a curved solid trigger shoe.
