The Tipton Snap Caps 380 ACP are dummy rounds with a brass and plastic construction, intended for dry fire practice and training. They let a shooter work on trigger pull technique without live ammunition, and they can also be used to check the function of extractors and ejectors.

Each snap cap is designed to absorb the striker or firing pin impact in place of a live round, which helps relieve pressure on the firing pin spring over repeated dry fire. Users can also load them into magazines to practice reloads and feeding. Hammer spring tension can be released when storing a firearm.
