The trigger is USPSA approved, and permitted in IPSC Standard, Optics, and Open divisions. An updated backplate with a relief pocket increases clearance to the striker when the firearm is subjected to extreme shock conditions, increasing its drop resistance. The Legacy Special can be configured as both a competition trigger and a carry-ready trigger when set to 3.5 lb or higher.
