Description
The TROY MRF Drop-In Battle Rail is a two-piece AR-15 handguard that replaces the standard polymer handguard without requiring gunsmithing. It installs using the rifle's existing barrel nut, delta ring assembly, front sight base and round handguard end cap, and it is not free floating.
The handguard is machined from 6061-T6 aluminum with a hard coat anodized black finish. It provides M1913 Picatinny rails at the 3, 6, 9 and 12 o'clock positions for mounting accessories, and integral quick detach sling swivel sockets at the 3 and 9 o'clock rails. It measures 7 inches overall and is listed as compatible with carbine-length gas systems, including gas piston configurations.
