The bolt has a gold titanium nitride finish, which provides a low-friction surface and resistance to corrosion. According to the manufacturer's description, it is designed to match the cuts of a True Precision 10/22 receiver. When installed on a receiver from another maker, a standard charging handle is used because the bolt does not change the charging handle interface.
