Typically used with a bowfishing rest the Spring Fisher generates back tension by using a combination of gravity and spring-loaded arms to hold the tip of the arrow down while the nock handle retracts to let the arrow through. When the nock retracts the arrow is raised off the rest to allow re-zeroing on the nock. This prevents the bowfishing arrow to bounce back into the safety zone on larger fish.
