Description

The Type A Rifle Co. Gordon Carbine pays tribute to MSG Gary Gordon, the Delta Force operator whose legendary carbine became an icon of innovation and sacrifice during the early 1990s. Famously depicted in the film Black Hawk Down, Gordon's 12.5" cut-down carbine with an Ops Inc suppressor symbolized a shift in operator-driven firearm evolution. Type A's modern interpretation captures that same spirit, blending historical authenticity with proven mil-spec precision. Built on a fixed carry handle upper (available in A2 or C7 configurations), the Gordon Carbine reflects the heritage of Gordon's rifle while integrating enhancements for today's shooters. Its 12.5" 4150V chrome moly vanadium barrel features 5R rifling, chrome lining, and a manganese phosphate finish, paired with an Allen Engineering AEMB muzzle device pinned and welded to accept the Allen AEM5 suppressor. Classic clamshell handguards, an A2 grip, and CAR-15 style stock ensure period-correct ergonomics, while modern performance comes from the Type A QPQ bolt carrier group with R.E.M polish, direct gas impingement system, and the crisp Type-A PMC Straight 2-stage trigger. More than just a firearm, this carbine is a functional homage to a man whose sacrifice shaped modern small arms doctrine.Specifications:Manufacturer: Type A Rifle Co.Model: Gordon CarbineCaliber: 5.56 NATOBarrel: 12.5" 4150V Chrome Moly Vanadium, 5R, Chrome-Lined, Mag Phos FinishMuzzle Device: Allen Engineering AEMB pinned/welded with SPR collar (AEM5 suppressor compatible)Upper: Fixed Carry Handle Handguard: 7-Hole Classic ClamshellStock: CAR-15 StyleGrip: A2Bolt Carrier Group: TYPE-A QPQ w/ R.E.M PolishTrigger: TYPE-A PMC Straight 2-StageGas System: Direct Impingement
