The SEAL Recon Rifle was originally built by U.S. Navy SEAL team armorers, and then later by the Naval Surface Warfare Center (Crane Division), was designed to provide snipers with a lightweight, portable, accurate weapon with greater lethality than the standard issue M4 carbine. The SEAL Recon was sometimes referred to as the"Recce Rifle".The TYPE-A SEAL Recce is built on an accurate long rifle platform with proven mil-spec components to make it an incredibly versatile rifle. The SEAL Recce is equipped with a 15.1" 416R stainless steel match grade barrel with a pinned and welded Allen Engineering AEMB muzzle utilizing an SPR collar to fit an Allen AEM5 suppressor. It's also equipped with Type-A's MK Series quad rail and B5 SOPMOD furniture. The Type-A Recce Rifle is driven by their QPQ bolt carrier group with R.E.M. polish.
