The Ultradyne Apollo MAX is a muzzle compensator designed to reduce recoil and limit muzzle rise on rifles chambered in 6.5mm calibers, including the 6.5 Creedmoor. It is intended for shooters who want a compensator that controls the muzzle without venting gas into the sight path or back toward the shooter.
The device is machined from 416 stainless steel and finished in black nitride. It threads on at 5/8-24 and is sized for 6.5mm rifle barrels 16 inches or longer. Barrels shorter than 16 inches are not recommended.
The timing nut is listed for 6.5mm rated cartridges including 6.5 Creedmoor, 6.5 Grendel, 6mm Remington, 6mm BR, 25-06 Remington, 257 Roberts and 243 WSSM. A 30 caliber rating is listed for 308 Winchester, 7.62 NATO, 300 AAC Blackout, 300 Savage, 303 Savage and 30-30 Winchester.
