It extends only as far as the collapsed height of the bipod so it's perfect for short mid and long range applications. It's made of high strength lightweight weatherproof aircraft-grade aluminum. Unlike many other bipods the A-Zoom AI AI bipod is always securely engaged so a slight movement will not disturb the balance of the rifle.
