Walther PDP Full-Size 9mm Luger Pistol Magazine. Due to the shorter magazine body the PDP does not need to be shortened in order to load ammunition. To prevent damage to the bolt upon slide release slide locks have been equipped with an arresting bolt safety and arresting arm. The ergonomic design includes an easily graspable floorplate at the rear of the magazine body. Always make sure the weapon is loaded before attempting to draw the loaded magazine; this prevents damage to the pistol during withdrawal. You may never need the magazine since the bolt safety will have already performed its safety function when the pistol is reloaded. However if the pistol is frequently reloaded the magazine is unable to hold the weight of the fully loaded magazine and the last fired rounds cannot be held by the bolt safety. The magazine includes a bolt hold open feature but it may be removed by pulling the magazine straight out of the pistol turning the bolt to release the magazine.
