Weatherby Mark V High Country 7mm Backcountry 20" Threaded Bolt Action Rifle

Weatherby Mark V High Country Features The Weatherby Mark V High Country pairs a 20 inch spiral fluted barrel with the modern 7mm Backcountry cartridge delivering flat trajectories and hard hitting terminal performance in a lightweight package. Threaded 1/2x28 and fitted with an Accubrake the barrel tames recoil so hunters can stay on target for accurate follow up shots when needed. A 2 position bolt mounted safety offers simple reliable operation in the field while the fluted bolt reduces both weight and friction for smoother cycling. Graphite Black Cerakote covers the barrel trigger guard receiver bolt and safety for a consistent corrosion resistant finish throughout. The Peak 44 Bastion carbon fiber stock weighs a scant 24 ounces helping bring the entire rifle down to just 6.8 pounds for easier carry on demanding backcountry hunts. Its vertical grip design improves control during off hand or awkward field shots while dual front swivel studs allow attachment of a sling alongside a bipod simultaneously. The 3DHEX recoil pad works alongside the Accubrake to further reduce felt recoil an important feature given Weatherby s historically powerful magnum chamberings. Finished in exposed carbon fiber with Wyoming brown and backpack sponge pattern accents this rifle is built specifically for hunters chasing game deep into the high country.
