The 307 action comes bedded within MDT's lightweight HNT26 chassis system, which is their first purpose-built hunting rifle chassis. The HNT26 is made from a magnesium alloy stock and carbon fiber components, tipping the scales at just 26 ounces. The chassis provides adjustable length of pull, adjustable comb height, and AICS magazine compatibility. The barrel features precision spiral fluting that reduces weight, adds rigidity, and aids in cooling, and comes topped with Weatherby's own radial-port muzzle brake to help evenly disperse gas and reduce felt recoil. The 307 action itself is a 2-lug, fully cylindrical action that's compatible with a wide range of 700-style aftermarket accessories and features simple tool-free disassembly for easy field maintenance.
