The Weaver Top Mount Base #16 in gloss black is a one-piece aluminum scope base that attaches to the receiver of compatible rifles to hold a Weaver-style detachable scope ring. Its square-cut notch mates with the cross bolt in each Weaver detachable ring, which helps the scope resist recoil.
