Winchester XPR Extreme 6.8 Western 24" Fluted Threaded Bolt Action Rifle

Winchester XPR Extreme Features The Winchester XPR Extreme is finished throughout in Tungsten Cerakote applied to both the button rifled barrel and the steel receiver giving it far better corrosion resistance than traditional bluing or bare stainless in harsh hunting environments. The 24 inch fluted barrel reduces weight while helping dissipate heat and its threaded muzzle ships with a brake installed to tame recoil from the powerful 6.8 Western cartridge. A 1:8 twist rate is matched to stabilize the long heavy for caliber bullets that make 6.8 Western effective well past traditional hunting ranges. The recessed target crown protects the muzzle from dings that can otherwise open up groups in the field. The M.O.A. Trigger System gives shooters a clean consistent trigger pull that helps translate the rifle s inherent accuracy into hits on game while the two position thumb safety keeps operation simple under pressure. A drilled and tapped receiver means scope mounting is straightforward without any gunsmithing required. The fixed TrueTimber VSX camouflage stock is built from synthetic material for durability in wet or rough terrain and the installed Inflex recoil pad and sling swivel studs round out a rifle ready to hunt out of the box. At 7 pounds the XPR Extreme remains manageable to carry on long stalks without sacrificing the stability needed for precise long range shots.
