The Winchester Model 94 Golden Spike Commemorative is a limited-edition .30-30 Winchester-caliber lever-action carbine produced in 1969 to celebrate the 100th anniversary of the completion of the Transcontinental Railroad, marked by the driving of the famous Golden Spike at Promontory Summit, Utah on May 10. 1869; the total production run was approximately 70,000 units. This special edition features a gold-plated receiver, barrel bands, and trigger, along with engravings and inlays referencing the eventthose include "OCEANS UNITED BY RAIL" on the tang and a locomotive medallion on the smooth, high-grade walnut stock. The receiver is engraved with a scrolled border and "1869-1969", along with a golden spike motif, and it has a blue saddle ring attached to it. The hammer, trigger, and lever are blued. The 20" barrel is a rounded blue steel style. The gun listed here is in great shape overall, with very little in the way of wear or handling marks. The action is smooth with a clean and bright bore. This rifle includes the original box and packaging, factory hang tag, user manual, warranty card & certificate, and a certificate of authenticity from Winchester.
