Winchester 1892 Rifle (mfg 1909), .25-20 WCF, 23.5″ Barrel

The Winchester Model 1892 rifle, manufactured in 1909 and chambered in .25-20 WCF (Winchester Center Fire), is a classic John Browning-designed lever-action rifle. If your specific rifle measures out to a 23.5-inch barrel, it requires a critical collector's distinction. The official factory catalog standard for the Model 1892 sporting rifle was a 24-inch barrel (typically in a full-octagon or round profile). A measurement of 23.5 inches almost always points to one of two historical scenarios.
